The Department of Asian Studies at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track position in Hindi at the rank of Assistant Professor, anticipated to start in Fall 2018.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a strong research profile while teaching a variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including a gateway course on South Asian culture and history as well as topical undergraduate courses and graduate-level seminars, and to play an active role in the development of the graduate program and of South Asian studies across the disciplines in the College of Liberal Arts.
